On 1st October 2014 Antingham and Southrepps Primary School joined North Norfolk Academy Trust.

At the time the Trust consisted of just Sheringham High School. In summer 2014 the High School was graded ‘GOOD with OUTSTANDING features and it was placed as the top performing High school in Norfolk for the GCSE results in 2014. In January 2015 Stalham High School also became part of the Trust. This year North Norfolk Academy Trust are hoping to link with another primary school.

North Norfolk Academy Trust is made up of an Executive Board who make the main decisions about the management and development of the schools within the Trust.

Antingham and Southrepps Primary School continues to have its own Governing Body which is made up of seven Governors. All have been appointed in accordance with the relevant Acts of Parliament.

The Governors are like a board of directors. They work in partnership with the Headteacher to make decisions about how the school is run in order to improve the quality of education and ensure pupil progress.

The Governing Body has a range of duties and a general responsibility for the conduct of the school with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement including setting targets for pupil attainment, managing the school’s finances, making sure the curriculum is balanced and broadly based, appointing staff, reviewing staff performance and pay and many more.

The full Governing Body meets six times a year to ratify decisions, review progress and to discuss the Headteacher’s report, which covers all aspects of the school’s activities. They also meet as committees to discuss matters relating to the buildings, finance, personnel, and the curriculum.

Governors endeavour to visit the school regularly to discuss matters with staff and parents and to meet the children. The secretary has contact details for the chair of governors and the parent governors.
